The Chi-Square & Goodness of Fit test evaluates whether data falling into several categories do so with a hypothesized set of probabilities.We want to compare observed frequencies with those of expected frequencies to determine the outcome and determine whether variables differ. We also want to decide if the null hypothesis is true or do we reject it.
