The Country Pleasures Farm, which is full of all organic and heirloom vegetables, is absolutely gorgeous. Potential customers begin to salivate at an attempt not to devour everything in sight. When they bite into an all organic heirloom tomato, their mouths explode with a fresh, clean, much better tasting tomato then what customers would find at a supermarket. Mrs. Bennett is the owner of Country Pleasures Farm, and her passion for starting an organic farm has helped her to develop many new products.
“Superior and non-toxic ingredients are what makes a great product,” Mrs. Bennett said, as the sound of her voice went from a calm comforting tone to a tone of sincere timbre. When trying to live a healthy lifestyle, it is important to search for organic, wholesome and all natural products. Going the extra mile is nothing new for the very talented business owner. Working hard on a beautiful farm located at 4367 State Route 29 East in Sidney, Ohio, Mrs. Bennett creates and sells all natural products as well as grass-fed chicken and beef. Her all organic grass-fed beef is so popular that customers wait several months to get their hands on some.
“My goal is to have a more natural wholesome product,” Mrs. Bennett said, “because you’re in control of your ingredients you avoid hormones, additives and pesticides which makes for a much safer and healthier product.” Mrs. Bennett agrees that buying products you get from a supermarket can be detrimental to your health.
As if the delicious vegetables are not enough, Mrs. Bennett even has her own bees and gathers raw, all organic honey that she uses in many of her products. “Raw organic honey has tons of natural bacteria and alpha hydroxy acid which is great for your skin. I don’t take a multi-vitamin; raw honey has almost everything you need. It is very difficult for your body to process a multivitamin,” she said. “Multivitamins are baked and processed in order to get into capsule form. Most of the nutrients and live bacteria are killed when doing this. Your body needs those things to function properly. Most of the multivitamin capsules or tablets we take, we can’t absorb and in turn, secretes out of our bodies.”
Country Pleasures Farm also makes its own soap which has tons of healing properties. Mrs. Bennett puts her grass fed cow’s milk and yogurt into her soaps enticing you even more to try every product she makes. “Yogurt is also great for your skin it helps you to retain moisture,” she said. Crème fraiche, vanilla bean and yogurt are just a few soaps they offer. “I make the yogurt and crème fraiche myself. If you have ever tried to make either, it’s not the simplest task,” said Mrs. Bennett.
The farm’s eggs and chickens are other top sellers at the farm. She can hardly keep enough on hand, selling them to local businesses and her regular consumers. “The eggs have much more vitamin E and beneficial oils your body needs in order to function properly,” she said. Not to mention they taste much better. Animals fed with grass have less disease and are much leaner. “You have a lot less saturated fat as well,” she explained.
Mrs. Bennett also uses naturopathic medicine that coincides well with the products she produces. “I have been using a product called Pure Herbs that I take on a regular basis.” In addition, she takes bee pollen which has many beneficial properties that can give you energy, boost your sex drive, help remove bad cholesterol, suppress your appetite, detoxify your liver and has tons of antioxidants for the prevention of disease.
“I also use Royal Jelly which is great for the adrenal glands.” she said, with an overall sense of confidence. “Royal jelly is a honey bee secretion that is used in the nutrition of larvae and in adult queens. It has concentrations of vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid which is great for energy.”
“I use cayenne for my circulation and ginger for my stomach.” Most of the things Mrs. Bennett uses personally, she puts in her products, which is extraordinary. “I believe that most natural medicine and products work because of my personal experience. That’s why I opened a place that offered a more natural wholesome product. I believe that consumers need more healthy choices in their daily lifestyles. “We need to be aware of foods without looking into them because what the average person puts in their bodies can be very harmful.”
When choosing to live a healthy, organic and wholesome lifestyle, Country Pleasures Farm will cater to any these needs. Places like Mrs. Bennett’s farm are making more of an impact then most people realize. It takes a caring owner, passion and talent to produce the remarkable phenomenon that Mrs. Bennett has created.
