The CSIA Mumbai was developed in the heart of Mumbai with two intersecting runways. The runways were sufficient for the aviation traffic till about 5 years back. since then, due to sudden boom in air travel and entry of new operators. it was found that the current runways were not sufficient to handle the load. since the airport is located in the city and thare are many buildings surrounding it, there is no scope for expansion. A new airport is proposed at panvel to replace the present airport. Huge investments in purchasing land, construction of airport, developing roads and utilities especially for the new airport is planned now. in what aspects the layout fails? Explain
