The dataset that was used was about the first time child maltreatment victims in 2022. The data was extracted from all the United States and it included the number of first time victims and the rate of victims per every 1000 children. The completed data map indicated that first time child maltreatment victims were rampart in eastern states. This was because there was high concentration of victims in these states. The central states including Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma among other depicted lower cases of child maltreatment victims. This rates may be affected by the reporting patterns of child maltreatment. Honestly, I must say that creating the data points in the map was a little challenging partly because I did not have the right Microsoft excel. However, it was interesting when I used another computer. I think the only thing that can be shared was the ability to take a photo of the current map and pasting it on the excel sheet. Also, I realized that to avoid having dots on the map, one had to change the layers and setting to include range. Therefore, after entering the data and highlighting it, the maps icon was clicked and a map appeared
