The developmental theory embodied by the Seattle Social Development Project or SSDP, designed to understand criminal behavior and criminal justice/delinquency prevention efforts, believes that if we can prevent delinquent behavior, we can teach troubled children the skills they require to be successful in society. It also goes deeper to state that parents and educators should be taught to be better mentors for their children and mentors. From all this information and also readings from Justice & Society, we can determine the following to be true from the SSDP program:

A) Seattle is a very safe city compared to other U.S. cities of similar size

B) SSDP is devoid of enough researchers

C) SSDP requires a long-term study of someone's past to understand a person's present behavior

D) If successful it will help Criminologists affirm their status at major higher education organizations
