The Economist has argued: "...unless ordinary folk are seen to share in the gains from globalization, there will be growing demands for import barriers or much higher taxes on corporate profits ....The challenge for governments is to find ways to share out the fruits of globalization more fairly without undermining the economy's ability to reap the benefits."
