The Ethics of Tourism Traveling is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our self. Traveling is a time for curiosity and self-awareness. It is an opportunity to open our mind to endless possibilities and new perspective. When we travel, tourism gives us invaluable impact, but we must also understand that we undeniably impact the place as well.

The growth of tourism has resulted in a range of harmful effects such as environmental degradation, loss of culture and language, and displacement of local communities. This is the reason why the UNWTO came up with the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism (GCET).
