The evidence has shown that when we engage with the persons we serve from a person or client-centered perspective, that there is a higher likelihood that they can move towards articulating and working on their desire to change. Motivational Interviewing integrates that person-centered framework and provides concrete skills, which can be used to deepen conversations with out clients, and assist them with making real and long-lasting changes in their lives.
