Question
The excel file Trailer Demand HWK Data.xlsx has weekly booking data for a company that leases out trailers for a period of about 18 months
The excel file "Trailer Demand HWK Data.xlsx" has weekly booking data for a company that leases out trailers for a period of about 18 months starting Jan 1995. It leases out trailers for 4 durations: 1 week, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 16 weeks. We have demand data for each type of lease for each week. For example, in week 2 of Jan 1995, there were 24 requests for a 1 week lease, 14 for a 4 week lease, 13 for an 8 week lease and 25 for a 15 week lease. Using this data forecast the demand for the remaining weeks of 1996 (week 27 to week 51) for the four types of leases. You are free to use the forecasting method of your choice. However, please clearly state and describe the method that you have used. You should submit your forecasts as an excel sheet in the format prescribed in the worksheet titled "Output". So cell B1 should include your group number. Cells C3-C27 should have your forecasts for the 1 week leases. Cells D3-D27 should have your forecasts for the 4 weeks leases and so on. Be sure your forecasts are numbers, not formulas (use "pastespecial" if needed to convert to numbers). Please submit your forecasts as a separate Excel file titled "Trailer Demand Forecast GroupNo.xlsx". Points will be deducted if your submission is not in the prescribed format.
