The existing social venture project I chose is the non$-$profit and donation$-$based company Goodwill founded by Edgar J$.$ Helms

Option B: Social Venture Analysis $$ Students$/$teams will analyze and further develop a plan

for an existing social venture. This could be a non$-$profit, for$-$profit, or intrapreneurial

venture. The subject of the analysis can be local or global, although it is critical that there be

sufficient information publicly available on the venture: access to organizational participants

$($for interviews, etc.$)$ is a considerable benefit. The analysis should consider $($but not

necessarily be limited to$)$: the venture$$s history, organizational structure, an outline of the

social issue it addresses, founder background$($s$),$ financial performance $($if available$),$

assessment of success$/$impact$,$ core organizational challenges, and recommendations to

address those challenges. Students selecting this option are required to provide the name of

and background on the existing venture to the instructor early in the semester. The instructor

reserves the right to disallow a proposed project.
