The Experiment: In an effort to promote healthy eating habits to their Day and Night shift staff, ABC Hospital asked volunteers to participate in their experiment to see if access to healthy snacks would make a difference in weight management for their staff members. At the start of the experiment, each participant will be weighed and their body mass index (BMI) will be calculated. After 6 weeks, each participant will be reweighed and BMI recalculated. Each participant would be given a pass key to enter a break room containing a variety of different healthy and nutritious snacks. To keep the results blind from the different participants, group members will be taken from different floors and departments. The treatment group would be only allowed to enter the break room twice during their shift and only for 5 minutes at a time. The control group would not have any restrictions on the amount of time or the number of entries into the break room
