The fertility rate consists of how many children are born yearly, and the mortality rate consists of how many people pass away. A larger fertility rate related to mortality means the population is growing. Over time population growth can cause problems along the lines of higher unemployment rates, freshwater shortages, or natural resources. The United States' home growth rate between 2010 to 2020 was only 7.5%. This correlates that not many people are buying homes mainly because of the price tag on them. The United States should be concerned about having affordable healthcare along with affordable housing available for the whole population not just the high class. The population also grows in the US from immigrants coming into the States for a better opportunity and also bring their children with them as well
