The figure below consists of a partially completed activity-on-node diagram, the figure is labelled 'Incomplete Activity-on-node network for the membership component'.

The diagram initially shows the start node, a finish node and 11 internal nodes, named A to K. Each internal node shows the activity and the duration.

The nodes, and their durations are given as:

  • A.Design website, 2 weeks.
  • B.Design data analytics tool, 3 weeks.
  • C.Design database, 1 week.
  • D.Implement website, 7 weeks.
  • E.Implement data analytics tool, 3 weeks.
  • F.Implement database, 1 week.
  • G.Test website, 3 weeks.
  • H.Test data analytics tool, 3 weeks.
  • I.Test database, 1 week.
  • J.Integrate components, 2 weeks.
  • K.Test web application, 1 week

Connectivity:

The nodes are connected as follows:

The start node connects to nodes A, B and C. (The start node is the only node that precedes nodes A, B and C).

Nodes A and B both connect to node D. (A and B are the only nodes that immediately precede node D).

Nodes B and C both connect to nodes E. (B and C are the only nodes that immediately precede node E).

Node C also connects to node F. (C is the only node that immediately precedes node F).

Node D connects to node G. (D is the only node that immediately precedes node G).

Nodes E connects to node H. (E is the only node that immediately precede node H).

Nodes F connects to node I. (F is the only node that immediately precede node I).

Nodes G, J and I connect to node J. (G, J and I are the only nodes that immediately precede node J).

Node J connects to node K (J is the only node that immediately precedes node K).

Node K connects to the finish node (K is the only node that immediately precedes the finish node).

InComplete Activity-on-node network for the web application

a.Draw a completely analyzed activity-on-node network for the web application assuming that the project is to be completed in the shortest possible time. Each node on your activity-on-node network should be labelled as in Figure 2 with the activity name and associated letter of the alphabet. Your analysis should show the results of the forward and backward passes and the activity floats

make sure your network starts with the node 'Start' and finishes with the node 'Finish'. Your diagram should include a key showing the meaning of the compartments in a node and identify the critical path for the project.
