The Final Evaluation will take place in class or virtually (Zoom conference) on Thursday August 18 between 12:30 PM and 3:20 PM
Please read the requirements of the final evaluation carefully. The focus of the test is personal leadership and storytelling.
First I would like you to prepare a writtenreport that describes how you have exhibited leadership in your personal life and in your business/academic life. This report will take into account your assessment of your preferred leadership style. Additionally, you must create two detailed examples as to how you have demonstrated leadership in your personal life and your business or academic life.
Next, I want you to put the report in the context of who you are, where you have come from and what are your actions/goals for the next stage of your life. The purpose-driven leadership course module will help to guide you in this work.
Proofread your submission and pay attention to proper grammar, sentence structure and spelling, this will be the written part evaluation.
Finally, you are being asked to make a formal presentation to the class. The presentation must be a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of four minutes in length and will based on your written report.
Thestoryshould present youwho you are, where you are going, your preferred leadership styleas well as a "short story" based on one of your examples that demonstrates leadership, plus a brief conclusion. The "leadership story" should make up at least 1/3 of your presentation.
The evaluation will be marked 30 percent on the written submission and 70 percent on the oral presentation.
Your presentation will not use any visuals. If you go over four minutes you will be asked to stop, if you are under three minutes you will be penalized 10 percent for every 20 seconds under three minutes.
You will be judged/marked on the following criteria:
- Preparation (memorization of the material - if you need them, use small cards to help keep you on track but don't read them), flow and connection (eye contact) with the class or the camera
- Energy, intonation, and belief in your storyin a way you are "selling yourself";
