The final paper is a chance to apply the content of the class to a real company's need for change. This can be a company that you do or have worked for, or one with which you have solid, first-hand acquaintance. The starting point would be a change that the company needs to make. If looking backwards to a change they did, retell the story as if you were the chief OD specialist / change agent approached by the leadership to make their change work Explain the change you would have led. If looking forwards, explain what you will plan and what assumptions you will make about what would happen (e g likely results of your diagnosis). Some key points to cover would be OThe background of the organization and what need for change it faces (this should be a medium sized or large change). O How you would learn about the change and how you would go about establishing a contract with your Sponsor. CHow you would go about designing and conducting your diagnosis, including use of any large group interventions like Action Research and Appreciative Inquiry. OWhat you would conclude from the diagnosis OHow you would feed the date back to the leadership and get their buy-in OThe actual change you would propose, and how it fits into the classification of interventions (strategic, structural, human resources, cultural, etc ) _Who would play what roles in Conner's change model. C\\What communication approaches you would recommend. OWhat resistance you would encounter, and how you would address it. CWhat particular, on-the-job behaviors of leaders and employees would have to change. OWhat training and other resources are needed for the change to work. CHow you would ancure that the changes stuck over time All these and other points you want to cover can be done by drawing on the slides, lectures and support materials in class.. no further research or additional sources are needed or expected
