It may have originated from the Colorado Low, possibly in the winter, and brings cooler weather. The cold front can be tracked all the way up north to Canada, with some cloud cover (possibly cumulonimbus) and showers or thunderstorms. The warm front pushes northeastward. In the warm sector, cloud cover is little but increasing with the front moving up. This causes precipitation through, often, nimbostratus or altostratus clouds. On Day 2. the westerlies have guided the weather system eastward. Close to the low-pressure core, the cold front has caught up with the warm front, forming an occluded front. The counterclockwise movement of the front cannot be tracked as easily anymore. Northwest of the low. heavy precipitation results from the warm air being pushed up and the following cool-down
