The focus of this can be either academic and/or occupational, depending on your preferred or chosen path. The expectation is that these documents will give you a basic preparation for the world outside of FIU whether you decide to start working right away or decide to attend graduate school Your final portfolio, consisting of your revised resume, cover letters/personal statement, list of references, letter of request to recommendation, networking links, and school/job application, will be submitted at the end of the semester. This Week you will work on the second part: The cover letter or Personal Statement rough draft. This is graded on a complete/incomplete basis. The purpose of this one-point assignment is mainly so that I can provide you with feedback to help you improve your cover letter or personal statement.
