The firm's marginal tax rate is 34%. Preferred Stock: The firm plans to issue 10% preferred stock with a par value of $30. The shares are expected to sell for $40. Common Stock: The firm will issue new shares to provide the common stock portion of financing. The most recent dividend, D, was $2.85 and that dividend is expected to grow at 2.5 percent per year.
