1. The following data are from the Bureau of Labor Statistics which issues a monthly report on the unemployment rate in the US. The data can be found at www.bls.gov. I have also attached it as an excel spread sheet. Below are the data for each month in 2020 and 2021. (The most updated available so 2022 isn't complete. That's why there are only 23 observations instead of 24.)

As a continuing result of the Great Recession of 2008 the US economy experienced a high unemployment rate in 2011 and 2012. The average monthly unemployment rate in those years was 8.534. You want to know whether, because of the economic fallout from COVID19, the monthly unemployment rate between in 2020 and 2021 was higher from that in 2011 and 2012.
