Less Fixed Cost: 1,00,000
EBIT =1,10,000
Less Interest: 10,000
Profit Before Tax =1,00,000
Find out:
(i) Using the concept of financial leverage, calculate by what percentage will be the taxable income
increase if EBIT increases by 5%.
(il) Using the concept of operating leverage, calculate by what percentage will EBIT increases if there
is 10% increase in sales, and
(i) Using the concept of combined leverage, calculate by what percentage will be the taxable income
increase if sales increase by 5%. Also verify the result in view of the above figures.
