The following document is an invoice kept within Quality Imports. Information regarding the sale of a vehicle is recorded in this invoice. Note that this document is not available to the cus- tomer because information on commission earned is reported here. QUALITY IMPORTS 1221 Bendix Drive South Bend, IN 46628 Sold to: Sold by: Name: Address Trade-In: Serial No: TY43768 Make: Toyota Extra Options: City: State: IN Telephone: Gary Newman Selling Price: Added Options Year 1986 1992 Sub-Total: Bill George 63345 Lincolnway East South Bend Discount (Negotiated): Trade-In Allowance: Zip: 46630 (219)-233-9933 Model: Supra-SE Year: 1998 Code R14 E01 $20 Make Honda Toyota $ 23,000 $ 1,810 Phone Extension: Home Phone: Description Stereo Radio and CD Player Extended Warranty Spoiler $ 310. $ 7,500 Invoice No: 00808 Date: 06/19/81 Total: Tax: Listed Price: Commission (Total - List - Options): 209 238-9030 Color: White Price 310.00 300.00 1200.00 Model VIN# Allowance Accord 86244522890 1000.00 Camry 92H44689200 6500.00 $ 24,810 $ 17,000 850 $ $14,000 $ 1,190 Prepare an E-R diagram for the view for Quality Imports. In particular: Identify the appropriate entities, relationships and attributes Include attributes in the E-R diagram. Account for all the data items (including calcu- lated values) and for all relationships that appear on each figure i. ii. iii. iv. Indicate the primary key for each entity Show the cardinality of each relationship You can use the following assumptions when constructing the E-R diagram. - An invoice is for the sale of only ONE vehicle. - Multiple vehicles can be traded for the sale of the vehicle. In addition, options can be added to the vehicle. Commission earned is not determined by a fixed formula. Salesperson can take a lesser amount in order to close a sale. Quality Imports recognizes only one primary customer buying the vehicle. The price of each option is a negotiated amount between the salesperson and the customer. The allowance given by the dealership is also a negotiated amount. A sale is handled by only one salesperson. A customer can purchase as many cars as desired. You can assume that the name of the salesperson is unique. You can assume here for simplicity that customer name is unique. In order to make your design is robust, you have to consider the following situation: Jack bought a Toyota Camry and traded his Toyota Corolla Jill bought the Toyata Corolla that was in the lot 1 year later, Jill bought a Dodge Stratus and decides to trade the Toyoto Corolla The VIN # is pre-assigned to all cars in the USA. The Serial# is asigned by Quality Imports to its vehicle. It can be interpreted as an inventory type number. Therefore, a car sold and re- sold will be assigned to two different serial # because it is sold on different transactions. The following document is an invoice kept within Quality Imports.
