The following mineral analysis was reported for a water sample: table [ [ Iron , 1 . 2 , Barium, 0 . 5 ]

The following mineral analysis was reported for a water sample:
\table[[Iron,1.2,Barium,0.5],[Silica (SiO2),20.0,Fluoride,0.35],[Manganese,15.0,Boron,0.1],[Ammonium,0.5,Nitrate,12.0],[Sodium,4.7,Chloride,20.0],[Potassium,0.9,Sulfate,29.0],[Calcium,67.2,Alkalinity (HCO3-),346.0],[Magnesium,40.0,pH,7.6,]]
Note: All reported as "mgL as the ion".
a. Determine the bicarbonate and carbonate alkalinities from the pH.(Review Section 2.6.5.2, pg.79-82 in Text)
b. Determine the total, carbonate, and non-carbonate hardness in mgL as CaCO3 using the predominant polyvalent cation definition found in your text.
c. Calculate the total, carbonate, and noncarbonate hardness using all of the polyvalent cations. What is the percent error in using only the predominant cations?
d. Prepare a bar chart of the water described by the lab report above because all of the constituents were not analyzed, an ion balance may not have been not achieved.
