The following results are from a survey conducted by Impact Research on behalf of the newspaper Le Droit. The purpose of the survey was to gather the opinions of Gatineau residents on the management of public funds. The question was as follows (and it is still relevant today!):

Over the past few years, do you consider that the leaders of your municipality have managed public funds? The results were broken down by two characteristics: opinion on the management of public funds (dependent variable) and the age category of respondents (independent variable)

Calculate the disparity indicator (the calculated chi-square) between the observed distribution and the theoretical distribution of absolute frequencies under the assumption of independence.
