The general rule regarding character evidence is that

A. character evidence is always admissible since proof of a defendant's character always has probative value and therefore is admissible.

C. character evidence is generally not admissible to prove good conduct or bad conduct since humans act one way one time and a different way the next.

D. evidence of character of the accused is generally admissible in a criminal case but not evidence of the character of the victim.
