The Globe Furniture Rentals, Inc. What do you make of the Arbitrator's assumption that the credibility of a fired employee is automatically suspect on the basis of her mere status as a fired employee?   

Isn't one of the purposes of an arbitral hearing to resolve credibility issues? Why isn't the employer's credibility similarly suspect?   

Is the Arbitrator essentially placing his thumb on the scale?  Would a court start with this assumption?
