The goal of this lab is to understand Thermal Energy in terms of the Kinetic Theory of Matter and to understand the difference between Heat, Thermal Energy and Temperature. These related terms are often used ambiguously and wrongly. This lab will clarify the differences between them and help the students to gain a better understanding of thermal energy. As a corollary, the students will discover why Earth's atmosphere is depleted of Hydrogen with time
