The Government of India seeks consultation on a draft lawpertaining to "driverless cars". The draft law, as circulated, mandates a compulsorylicensing requirement to manufacture, research upon, and develop such technology. Inaddition, the proposed law imposes several restrictions on the sources of funds which amanufacturing / researching company can avail, and also as regards the manner of usage ofsuch funds.
