The Harvard Implicit Bias test is a well known tool for learning about implicit bias. It is not just one test, but many, each focusing on different types of possible bias.

Go to https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html and choose at least one of the implicit bias tests and take it. It does not matter which you choose, and feel free to take more than one, but please take at least one.

In your assignment,

• reflect on the experience of the test and its results.
• Do you think the test is a good way to measure implicit bias (which by definition is not conscious bias)? Why or why not?
• Do you agree with the results you received? Why or why not?
• Were you surprised with the results you received?
