The gap analysis used in the study this was effective in providing feedback to the hospitals that participated that led to new order sets on the management of sedation and ventilated patients. Summerell used the Watson Caritas Processes to serve as the basis of the unit's transformation on cultural fit-emphasizing empathy, communication, teamwork, compassion and respect (Snmmerell, 2015). By using the caritas in unit, value of others and positive team building relationships were introduced to improve staff relationships
