The inactivation of a microorganism by high hydrostatic pressures at 35 C from 100- 600 MPa showed the following parameters: activation volume of -10 cm3/mol and k of 0.7531 min-1 at 100 MPa. a) Determine all possible kinetic parameters considering first order kinetics using primary and secondary models for the mentioned pressure range using 100 MPa increments. b) If at 100MPa k values of 0.92 and 1.18 min-1 were obtained at 45 and 55C respectively, generate the inactivation curve of the microorganism at 100 MPa and 40C to eliminate 99.99999% of the microbial population. Indicate the value of the activation energy.
