The increase in global trade volumes since 1980 arising from globalisation has helped lift around one billion people out of poverty in developing/emerging countries. But this increase in trade flows has also weighed on the pace of wages growth of relatively unskilled workers located in the advanced countries. How should we manage this trade off?
