If you work in a school setting, you may have more familiarity with this process than if you work in a more specialized setting. Please discuss your experience working with families and students with autism and the IEP process. Discuss any issues or experiences you have transitioning from ABA services to Part B services, or from special education HS services to college or beyond. If you do not have experience working with the IEP process or transitioning, what important points have you learned from the readings and previous modules regarding the process?
For everyone, how do you think you can help parents navigate the system? What is one important piece of information you learned from the Wagner (2014) and Zirkel (2014) readings that you would want all stakeholders to know about IEP and/or the special education system? Include a reference.
