The issues we face towards building a sustainable and just world run according to the principles by Ostrom are due to several factors but mainly the desire for humanity to develop economically at all costs without regard for those affected nor care for the natural world, the current Neoliberal order seeks endless economic growth competition capitalism and freedom without understanding the impact it ultimately has on the people worst affected by it as well as the nature that has to pay the price, With Nature paying continiously heavier price for our greed so does our protection from the harsh elements with increasing cases of natural disasters and climate change issues exacerbated by human greed, Therefore it is absolutely vital that we strive to reach towards a just and sustainable world by opening new perspectives and viewpoints towards complicated issues as well as empathyzing with those worst affected by human decisions in the past

The problem of unsustainability is rooted in the need for a shift in mental models and paradigms, and that the world is currently influenced by two major schools of thought: neoliberal economics, promoting economic growth and globalization, and sustainable development. However, the depletion of natural resources and environmental challenges has shown the problems of the growth-centric model. The concept of the "invisible hand" by Adam Smith, which promotes individual choice for the common good, doesn't always hold true. Meanwhile, the philosophy of sustainable development, while aiming for the common good, is often used as a strategy for marketing through greenwashing and corporate growth, creating a contradiction of "sustainable growth" that provides a false sense of security. But, there is hope because universities and other institutions are finally breaking people out of the matrix and making them aware of the problems we face now, and there are sincere companies out there making true sustainability a reality.
