The Kai Tak River channel in east Kowloon has been revitalized over the past 4-5 years by the government for nearly 3 billion HKD, adding in artificial rocks and refuges for fishes. An urban planner inspected the site and wondered if local citizens would agree with such revitalization given they have or have not been informed of the massive cost. He interviewed 10 citizens and informed them the cost, and another 10 without informing the cost. The citizen responded by scoring a Likert item ranging from 1 to 5, with 1 = does not worth at all and 5= extremely worthwhile, intermediate values being ordinally arranged.
