The knowledge of firearms theory is very important to someone who is repairing, servicing, orcustomizing a firearm. This will help them have the ability to diagnose problems by knowing thecycle of operations and identifying which part of the cycle the problem is occurring. It wouldcertainly help someone in sales to know and understand firearms theory but let's be honest, alot of people know how to operate a firearm but don't know HOW it operates. A salespersonnever knows whom their next customer is going to be and it could be someone veryknowledgeable. If the salesperson is incompetent, that could easily lose the store a custom.In my opinion, learning little "how-to's" will eventually lead to understanding firearms theory.And I think this goes with anything mechanical. It's much easier to replace and adjust parts anddiagnose when a technician understands how the platform works. For someone that is justgetting into firearms, the more they learn "how-to" replace this and replace that, they willgradually learn how things operate if they put forth the effort and think about what they'reactually doing. Though it may be on one platform, they would actually know the basics of howmost firearms work and not realize it. Even for someone that knows firearms theory, there isalways room to learn and grow. A technician that knows the theory can more than likely teachthemselves "how-to" in most cases. Someone that learns "how-to" will eventually learn thetheory. They go hand in hand to me p
