The leadership behavior I chose, discussed in Yukl, is problem-solving behavior in a task-oriented group; to me, that is one of the most important (Yukl, 2012). Problem-solving is a must in any field of operation; however, in the criminal justice field, it is demonstrated in the actual field (streets) and the administrative setting of the criminal justice system. This behavior is similar to decision-making behavior, but with the difference that this behavior I chose is problem-solving to fix the problem independently to the best of the individual's abilities. Also, this behavior is commonly used to elect a candidate for a supervisory position, and the way that is used is by using the candidate's ability to problem-solve in complex situations for the best of the team or the whole organization.
