The Lost Pines Outfitters system is composed of multiple parts. The first part of the system is the Sales and Inventory Management. This part includes tracking sales and making sure inventory levels are updated. Once an order is placed, inventory management keeps track of the stock and makes sure there is a timely restocking taking place after. The next part of the system is Customer Relationship Management or CRM. This includes all interactions with customers and any feedback given by them. This part of the system cover any questions or concerns customers may have regarding services, shipping process, and more. Supply Chain Management is another part of the system. This part involves the receiving of any goods or products and the way they are distributed by the company. This part of the system also involves negotiating prices of services or goods and the management of orders. Marketing and promotion is another part of the system. This includes devising strategies for different advertising and promotions of the company and the services they provide.
Advertising is a way of attracting customers to the company and any online storefront attached to the company. This bring up another part of the system known as the e-commerce platform. This allows potential and existing customers to scope out the different products and services provided by the company and be able to pick which one best fits them. The physical storefront of the company is another major part of the system. In a physical storefront, customers are allowed to visit and speak with an associate about any questions they have about the products and services the company provides.
Without these parts of the system, the company operations would not run smoothly. Data from sales lets the inventory management know when restocking is needed and CRM gives feedback which the company can use to improve their operations. One feedback loop would be the sales data being able to influence any decisions within the supply chain.
There are several interactions within these parts of the system of The Lost Pines Outfitters. The inventory management and Customer Relationship Management work together in order to complete and fulfill orders. Sales and customer service work together with inventory management and marketing in order to get information about services and products out to the public. Marketing and promotion work draws the attention of customers to the e-commerce and physical storefront of the company. The e-commerce and physical storefront allow for customer interactions.
Feedback loops are also present within the working system of The Lost Pines Outfitters. One of these feedback loops would be the inventory restocking loop. This loop includes keeping track of the stock and inventory levels. Once the stock reaches a certain level, reorders must be taken place to ensure there are products available to meet the demands of the customers. Another feedback loop would be the loop of customer satisfaction. Once customers leave reviews or feedback on any aspect of the way the company operates, this affects the way the company runs in the future.
The customers wants and needs determines the types of recommendations offered. The first recommendation would be to improve inventory management. Installing an automatic system would make for a faster and more accurate way of keeping of track stock levels. This would also ensure that restocking happens in a more timely manner. The next recommendation I would enforce would be a more enhanced CRM. This would help improve the customer feedback experience and help manage customer interaction more efficiently. The last recommendation would be to reform the supply chain. Organizing the supply chain would reduce costs and make the process more efficient. These recommendations would help improve the customer experience, minimize operational costs, and increase the companys profit. Developing a marketing strategy that compiles both the online and physical storefront would be another recommendation. Customer service mechanisms would also be another important recommendation. Including mechanisms such as survey and reviews helps gather information where the company needs to improve or where the company is being successful. This information will help impact the way the company operates in the future. This would be known as a feedback loop that helps implement multiple informed decisions within the parts of the Lost Pines Outfitters system.
