The measured time constant of this circuit is equal to 125 OF . This value was then compared with the calculated time constant value found with the given information . Having been given the values of the resistor and capacitor, Ikohm and 0.11F respectively, the value was found using 7 = RC The calculated time constant was found to be 110 2F . The tolerance of the capacitor was provided : -10% and +75 %; the tolerance of the resistor was provided : 5%. There are two values of tolerance for the time constant , the upper and lower values and they were found using C CC | RER - RC V RC Tolerance = The lower value of 94.1 OF was found using the lowest bounds of the tolerance and the upper value of 202.1 was found using the upper bounds of the tolerance . The measured time constant sits within this tolerance
