The Michigan Department of Civil Rights just received the following charge:

"I have been working for the Respondent, orthodontist, for approximately ten years. The Respondent's office is an orthodontal business that is dedicated to Christianity. Christianity was the first priority, then orthodontics. The doctors and staff began each morning with prayer. Only Gospel music and videos are played. Often, we had to write sermons and preach to our co-workers. If the practice was experiencing a dip in production, the staff would be asked by the doctor if they were sinning in their personal lives. Late last year, the Respondent confronted me after he learned that I had a male friend who is a male dancer. He asked me if I was having and affair, and threatened to suggest the same to my husband. He then made me apologize to the staff for my infidelity, lying and sinning. When I failed to stick to the script he provided, he fired me."

From the same charge as above, the Charging Party contends: "After the Respondent saw some photos of me with my male dancer friend at a club during a "Girls' Night Out", he questioned me about my sex life and told me that my actions were "unacceptable" as an "ambassador of the practice". He then told me about his personal sex life, and later sent me a birthday gift of a bra and thong from Victoria's Secret."
