The most common display used in electronics is a seven$-$segment display shown here to display digits $0$ to $9$ and characters a to f to display hexadecimal numbers.The characters are displayed using a combination of segments as shown in the table below. The segments are named a to g as shown in the diagram. It is not necessary to number the segments in this order. Such devices are readily available with off$-$the$-$shelf components. Both the display and table are taken from the published work. Seven drivers drive each of the seven segments, respectively. Generally, there is an eighth terminal to provide a common connection to the seven drivers.P$3.$ FMEA $($fault mode and effect analysis$)$ is a table listing all faults of interest and their effect. Assuming that only one fault can occur in this system $($if multiple faults occur then the devices can be deemed useless$),$ create a table listing all single faults and their impacts in terms of what the user will experience in terms of the information being displayed and be able to read the digit correctly. P$4.$ Fault mitigation is a strategy to devise an alternate method so that the effect of a fault does not impact the operation. In this case, it would mean that an alternate display pattern is used for each digit so that a single fault will not confuse the user to read one digit as another. Devise an alternate scheme to display all digits. You can assume that your user is smart can learn new display patterns for each digit and can try to interpret a digit correctly in the presence of fault.
