The Nassau County (New York) Board of Supervisors in 1964 consisted of members representing six districts known as Hempstead 1, Hempstead 2, Oyster Bay, North Hempstead, Long Beach, and Glen Cove. Respecting the different populations of the districts, the county rules assigned varying numbers of votes to the six supervisors: 31 for Hempstead 1, 31 also for Hempstead 2, 28 for Oyster Bay, 21 for North Hempstead, 2 for Long Beach, and 2 also for Glen Cove.
