The Nazis dissolved both employers' associations and unions, but in the aftermath of World War IIagain facing the real possibility of a repudiation of capitalismleading employers once again reached out to moderate voices within the labor movement. Together they created the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the Federation of German Employer's Association (BDA), and the Confederation of German Trade Unions (DGB).
