The new generation faces significant chalenges, since the world population is constantly growing and low-skilled jobs are disappearing. This means that employability will become more and more dependent on skills, and that only those workers with a range of abilities and competencies will remain relevant in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). It must also be noted that this in itself may not be enough - oven highly-skilled and well-trained individuals may miss out simply because the competition is certain to be fierce. With such unprecedented changes taking place, it is clear that a number of important skils and competencies will be required by workers in order to succeed in the 4IR. The previous industrial revolutions brought about massive shifts in the way that societies and economies functioned. The 4IR is no exception to this rule. With the development of new technologies, new industries and jobs are bound to be created as well.
