The news article I have chosen discusses the annual survey conducted by United Way Worldwide. In which, they found that Americans are continuing to struggle with housing and utility costs three years after the height of COVID-19. Also, they found significant increases in healthcare and hunger requested compared to pre-pandemic levels. This survey gives United Way an ability to identify and address needs within the communities they serve. It allows them to maximize their impact and provide rapid support from the moment it is needed on the ground, but the survey also assists in predicting upcoming challenges. Out of the 18 million calls to the United Way hotline in 2022, 4.9 million were relating to housing services making housing the most common request. Utility requests was the second most common and hunger still remains a top-three concern across the country. United Way Worldwide exists to fight for a more equitable, healthier, and resilient future for everyone. I believe for a for-profit organization; the reporting would have been focused on the financial impact citizens are facing across America. It would have most likely focused on the differences in housing and utilities costs in 2021 compared to 2022. I wouldn't say the article would have vastly been different for a for-profit entity as the article highlighted the results found in the survey conducted.
