The news regularly inundates us with stories of business executives practicing Workplace Deviance, which comes in many forms. It is so prevalently reported that w have come to believe that this is NORMAL behavior in business. The truth is that this is not the norm. Let me reiterate. Lying, cheating, stealing, and murdering ARE NOT THE NORM and should not be accepted as such. In fact, it is simply used by the media to improve their ratings - good news does not sell in our society. That is why there is no Good News Channel. I am taking this opportunity to stress to you that Integrity, Honesty, Humility, and an otherwise strong sense of Ethics is how we must approach business. You are in class to learn about Business and Management. In this light, I offer to you information on the DCCCD's definition of reaction to Scholastic Dishonesty. Deviant behavio starts with seemingly small things that eventually grow into much larger problems that can have longstanding, negative consequences. Please read the attachment titled Scholastic Dishonesty. Thoroughly explain your perspective on how a person's current ACADEMIC behavior (in early stages of adulthood) could evolve into something much worse if allowed to continue unchecked. Examples: How lying about, cheating on, or stealing for your academic pursuits could lead to a person embezzling money from his/her own company, cheating on their significant other, or worse. Your 500+ word narrative should clearly describe the evolutionary stages that you believe would occur if a seemingly harmless, but negative, behavior could evolve into something much worse. Please review and reply, in 200+ words, to at least 2 of your classmates' postings. Feel free to cite sources that validate your comments. Be sure to read the Discussion Board Guidelines before beginning this assignment
