On the basis that the eigenvalues of all factors must be greater than 2

On the basis that all communalities have to be greater than 0.5

By the ratio of factors to variables, which is supposed to be 1:6

On the basis of a trade-off between keeping the number of extracted factors small whilst preserving most information
