The objective is to determine how much, if any, of each cargo should be accepted and how to distribute the cargo amoung the compartments in order maximize the total profit of the flight.
Additional restrictions have led to a few additional considerations.
Only full or half tons of cargo may be transported.
The proportion of weight in the forward and back compartments must be within \pm 25% of each
other in order to balance the airplane.
Cargo 4 must be transported in a separted compartment, i.e., with no other cargo.
In order to make General Determination as happy as possible:
a.(15 points) Write the mathematical formulation, clearly identifying decision variables, the
objective function, and all constraints. Note: All If-Then constraints must be resolved!
b.(10 points) Solve the problem using Excel Solver.
