The office manager has online access to patient records at home. The dentist has allowed her to contact patients and insurance companies regarding tx plans, insurance coverage or financial records. Patients have not been told that the manager has access to their records at her home. The DH who is new to the office, inadvertently finds out that sensitive patient information is being sent from the same account that is used by the manager, her husband and adult son. When she approaches the dentist about this breach of patient information, he seems unconcerned. What core values are being compromised if the DH does not follow through?
