The Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer has released information to CBC News that during the first 8 months of the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020 that the Federal government spent a total of $240 Billion ($240,000,000,000) on various programs fighting the pandemic.

Considering the Income Tax topics, please provide your suggestions and recommendations as to what changes the Federal government could implement to the Income Tax Act or the HST (or both) to help recover some of these monies while not causing undue harm to any specific sector of business or the general population.
