The online survey software program, Qualtrics, was used to collect the responses for this survey. A copy of the survey is available in the appendix. Email addresses from all current female MTSU students, totaling 12,367 emails, were obtained by Dr. Tim Graeff. For completing the survey, respondents were given a free Cover Girl eyeliner so the maximum possible sample size was 343 as that is the amount of product provided by Schwan Cosmetics. Initially, surveys were randomly sent out to 1000 female MTSU students. A reminder was sent out less than a week later. Due to the low number of individuals who stated that they currently used Cover Girl Perfect Point Plus, surveys were then randomly sent out to 750 additional female MTSU students. Of the 1,750 students emailed, 595 students actually opened the email (34%). Of the 595 students who actually opened the email, 255 started the survey (42%). Of the 255 students who started the survey, 235 totally completed the survey (92%). Of the 20 students who started the survey but did not complete it, 9 completed enough of the survey to consider it completed. This led to 243 completed surveys being collected. This led to 243 completed surveys being collected. The following preliminary univariate survey results include all of the information collected, regardless of whether the survey had been completed or not. The multivariate analyses uses information from only the completed surveys.
